Hi from Joe & Cindy. We’re not a rental agency or a realty company, simply a couple lucky enough to have a home at Indian Lake. We want you to discover our wonderful retreat and hope you love it as we do. We both have full time jobs; yet work hard to make our quiet relaxing home on Indian Lake an inviting vacation spot for you.

Over the years, our vacations found us in Florida, South Carolina, Texas, Mackinac Island, Gatlinburg and many more. Occasionally we stayed in a hotel, but most often, we rented from owners. From this, we learned that the exceptional vacation experience always starts with owners who create a terrific environment. The best rentals make you feel as if you just walked into the home of a friend. They are clean, relaxing and they have that personal touch in décor and amenities.

As you arrive in our house, look around and make yourself at home. You will notice family photos on the wall and personally selected decorations throughout the house. We purchased most everything new and put a lot of thought into details. As an example, notice that the coffee maker brews directly into a thermal carafe. Mornings at the lake are leisurely, not rushed, and you want that coffee fresh all morning. This gourmet coffee maker gives you relaxing time to enjoy a good cup of coffee all morning.

Over the fireplace you see a large photo of an Osprey, or fish hawk, the source of the name for our house. You may see Osprey hunting over the channel in back and over the main body of Indian Lake. Adult Osprey grow to a 6 ft wingspan and are great to watch. You will find a set of binoculars next to the TV for your enjoyment of the wildlife. We hope your vacation brings prefect weather, but if not, enjoy the games, books and magazines. You will notice that magazines reflect our interests of photography, fishing, trap shooting, nature, scrapbooking, home decoration, and yes, the Osprey.

A favor we ask of you is to give us your ideas and suggestions to make the experience at The Osprey even more exceptional. Call or send us an email if you see something we can improve. Use the diary under the coffee table to leave your experiences for the next visitor. What were the great restaurants or taverns you enjoyed most, or least? Tell everyone a pleasant or amusing experience of your vacation. Did you see the Bald Eagle or an Osprey? There is a Bald Eagle’s nest on Pony Island, inaccessable by road, but only about 2500 feet from our home. Look across the water to the west as to take your morning walk down Long Island. Most of all enjoy yourself
